Mount Kerinchi Expedition...The Mountain That its Own Attittude....

Hey There Guys... I know.. U all waiting for this Post.. And i am jam pack with Stuffs.. Especially the Post expedition Prep... There Alot of things to be done...

Anywea.. here We go....

DAY1.....
0400, I woke up in the morning finding out the the day is here.. Im Flying off today..My Bag are packs, Passport are ready and ready to go...

0430, Grab my bags, Grab the Car keys, Grab Abg Haz at woodlands MRT, Zoom to Singapore Changi Airport....

0500,

Its still Early.. Freaking Early... Met the Guys at Changi Airport Terminal 2 Starbucks... Had Breakfast there... Had my last HazelNut latte, My last Mac Breakfast...

0530: Find out That we are not Flying Alone.... Bump into Team S-L China, and some Team S-L Vietnam flying off also the same time with us... Its Seem the Starbucks is Occupied With Team Republic all over the place...
0645, Bags Up, Load Up wait for Shuttle Bus to Budget terminal....0700, BudgetTerminal, Weight My Bag.. Still Feeling uneasy when my bag is half empty and its 9KG... It seem that i forgot something....Wait for the whole team to arrive, Pack Repack, Passport Check,

0800, Expedition Leader,Faci Arrive....gosh.. His Bag is like one Body Bag...

0810, Pre-Flight Briefing, Final Weight, Flag Handover ceremony(so Called)

0830, Check in.....Bag after Bag after Bag....

0845, Team Photo Taking.....

0850, Checking in, Hafiz Got Stuck at Immigration Clearance cuz his thumbprint did not telly..Hang out at transit Area...before Boarding....

0900(IndonTime),

Touch Down At MinahKabau International...Filling up some stupid clearance form...it took us 1/2 hour to clear the immgrations....

0930, FINALLY out of the Airport...Waiting for our Laison Officer, While Waiting saw this Guy holding one sign... " Pak Davib, Singapore" then i Took A 2nd Glance..Like.. WAT???? PAK DAVIB... hahahha.. Was Giggle...Abg David was like "Shake head.." Maybe is their way spelling his name in that way...

1000, Board into our 2 Van.. and get ready with our 8 hour, Butt Numb, Mount Akina type of road Ride....

1200, Lunch at 1100m above sea level,

1300, 4 More Hour of Ride... Sigh....

1730, AT LAST..WE REACH....


1930, DInner Time...

2100hrs, Final prep, Good nite Sleeep...

DAY2...0700hrs....

Wake up on the wonderful view by my bed window..

a CLEAR VIEW OF THE MOUNTAIN...

0800...BreakFast TIME>>>>>>
0900...All Packs Up... And Ready to Go....Another Team Photo with mountain background.

0930... Lets HIT THE MOUNTAIN..Start @ 1700metre above sea level....
1100..., 2100metre above sea level... First break stop....
1130, The mountain starting to be harsh on us...

1300, Lunch Time at 3000 metre...

1400hrs, 3100metre, Weather starts not to be not on our side.. Its start to get cold.. 20 mins later.. Rain starts Pouring in..for the next 2 hours..

1900, 3000metre above sea level. Arrive at Base camp.. its 10 degree, 5 climber have AMS..Dinner,change and sleep for next morning summit climb...

DAY3, 0200hrs,3000metre above sea level, waking up seeing something unusual...Dust Rain..BLACK DUST RAIN...Everywhere...Im getting worried..Its 7 degree on my themometre..and this is no child play...

0300hrs, Starts Summit climb, 19 out of 21 climbers is on for the summit push.. 2 still on AMS..and also as Base camp manager...

0400, 3200metre above sea level, Dust rain getting worst, breathing getting hard.. eyes getting irritating, and it up hill up all the way up..and its a tunnel terrain where i cant believe my eyes..
0430, 3200above sea level, Sign of Relieve.. I think..Out of Jungle Terrain.. BUT Dust Storm getting worst...3 mens starting to get AMS..including me...the next 600 metre will be all rocky terrain...i heard a series of thunder on the other side of the mountain.. IM STARTING TO GET REALLY REALLY WORRIED

0600,3500 above seas level... things are getting worst... RAIN SET IN WITH THE DUST STORM.....
